The east bank boat launch below Wanapum Dam will reopen Friday, June 27, 2008.

Boater Warning!

Orange safety buoys and cable barriers installed upstream from the dams warn boaters away from the danger of close approach to turbine intakes and spillways.

Signs also warn boaters about the danger of coming close to the downstream side of the dams.

Water releases from the dams can create hazardous boating conditions and abrupt river flow fluctuations affecting water levels.

This portion of the river is known for sudden high winds.
